Book Blogger Hop/Follow me/Friday Find

Follow Friday, is hosted by ParaJunkee,  Book Blogger Hop, is hosted by Jennifer (Crazy-For-Books), and Follow Friday 40 and over is hosted by Java

Jennifer asks us, How/Where do you get your books? Do you buy them or go to the library? Is there a certain website you use like paperbackswap?

I buy most of the time. I also get review copies and/or win from giveaways.  Lately, I have not been receiving any review copies at all. One reason is I am selective about genres!!
ParaJunkee asks as to tell her" What do I do when I are not reading?"

I write poetry, do crossword puzzle, read blogs and do nothing!

Do feel free to explore my blog. You will definitely find something that interests you as I read wide range of genres, except maybe for a few. I also write poetry. You can read that on my other blog, rooted. Now go, explore both of my blogs! And follow them, if you like!! I follow blogs I like via Google Reader...

Enjoy!

Friday Find:

River of Shadows by Valerio Varesi

 Product Description from Amazon

In a bleak valley in Northern Italy, the River Po is swollen to its limits. The thick fog that usually clings to the town, blurring its surroundings and plunging its inhabitants into near-blindness, has been driven out by the raging storm. So when an empty barge drifts downriver, the fact the owner is missing does not go unnoticed. That same night Commissario Soneri is called in to investigate the murder of the boatman's brother. The brothers served together in the fascist militia fifty years earlier - could this be a revenge killing after so long?

Soneri's investigation meets with a wall of silence from those who make their living along the banks of river. As the fog descends and the valley is hidden once more, Soneri must navigate fifty-year-old loyalties and deep-rooted rivalries before he can find out the truth.http://www.amazon.co.uk/River-Shadows-Commissario-Soneri-Mystery/dp/1906694273

I get books from publishers and still buy tons. I buy them from my local indie bookstore and just bought 3 this week.

Hopping through. I go through phases with crossword puzzles. I used to be really into them. I'm not very good though.

Hopping by -- No matter how many books I acquire from other sources, I can't help but buy new ones too. It's the dragon in me; I like to hoard.

I mostly get free advance reading copies from my sales reps but I also buy a ton of books, too. and i love the local library for reading OP titles.

I love crossword puzzles too, even if I'm not that great at them.
